A Challenge For Dave Obey - WI's 7th District Congressional Seat

Today on WAOW:

The fall 2010 elections are still a year and a half away but that’s not stopping Ashland County District Attorney (and ex-Real Worlder) Sean Duffy from announcing his candidacy for Wisconsin’s 7th district Congressional seat.

Sean Duffy announced his candidacy at Wausau Homes in Rothschild Wednesday.
Duffy said, “It’s time to bring some fiscal sanity to Washington and the only way that’s going to happen is for hard-working people who know what it’s like to balance a family budget to decide it’s time for a chance. I’m one of those people. That’s why I’m running for Congress and that’s why I need your vote.”

Dan Mielke, an organic farmer and previous Congressional challenger, announced several months ago that he would run against Obey. The two will face off in a Republican primary in September 2010.

Mielke also has a website.
