Great Debate of the North Update

Thank you to all who volunteered with assistance to plan and execute the Great Debate of the North held Saturday in St. Germain, Vilas County, Wisconsin.  It was quite a productive day with various speakers and three major GOP Debates, held as a first-of-its-kind event in the Northwoods.

More media are posting articles about our event including the News of the North and WJFW-TV12, our local NBC affiliate.

Please note that Wisconsin Eye was here Saturday with a videographer.  Their coverage is now available on-line at:  www.wiseye.org or directly at:  http://wiseye.org/wisEye_programming/campaign10/ARCHIVES-CPN10_GOV.html#3533.  We urge you to visit this website and review the debates without distraction in your own homes.  The subtle differences between candidates are what we must all evaluate to make a truly informed decision in the primary September 14.

The Republican Women of the North and Northwoods Patriots members pulled together to execute the event and we appreciate everyone's contributions to make the date a big success.  We are honored to have gathered such a high caliber of candidates together in the Northwoods to share their visions for our state and country's future. Vilas County sheriff's candidate, James Maillette, addressed the group as well as Mr. and Mrs. Verhulst who spoke on behalf of Pastor David King who is running for Secretary of State.

Thank you specifically to the following candidates who traveled to St. Germain for the Great Debate of the North:
  • US Senate Candidate:  Dave Westlake
  • Lt Governor Candidates:  Dave Ross, Ben Collins, Rebecca Kleefisch and Brett Davis
  • US House of Representatives for WI-8 Congressional District:  Marc Trager, Roger Roth, Reid Ribble, Marc Savard and Terri McCormick.
